There was 7th Patriotic Pilgrimage for Polish fans who for this special day are united and pray for all charity and patriotic activities organised by their groups. This is something that repressed media doesn’t show on TV. Why? Maybe because we don’t see fights on stadiums, but instead we see the unity of thousands of Polish football and speedway fanatics.

I was wondering for a few days if I should go for the match or not. I didn’t go few years ago were we played at Croke Park, so that was my motivation to travel to Dublin on Wednesday. I’ve decided to go. We gathered together at half three at the Bus Station beside B&Q in Athlone. The bus from Ballinasloe arrived at four. There was another mini bus with Polish supporters from Galway. On our way to the capital city of Ireland we passed plenty of cars and mini buses with white and red flags. Inside our coach there was only one Irishman, and he was a driver. There was more singing and jumping than at the Polish wedding, with the illegal and illegal liquor. Fun is in full swing! I promised to myself that I am not going to drink voda anymore…but what could I do? It’s a Polish tradition. You have to drink vodka when you go to some important events. The bus driver was a bit stressed, as few lads were drunk already. “Give him a few shots of vodka to relax a bit” – someone shouted, and everyone laughed. “It’s going to be a great adventure for you” – I talked to him. He replied to me saying that It is already great journey for him, and that he enjoyes driving with the Poles. After an hour of driving we stopped at the petrol station.
